Excellent introduction to the sawing/filing jig for accurate box-making. Lots of tips and tricks for layout, soldering, construction and finishing.
I'd have found understanding how the five-section hinge is progressively fabricated, tuned and attached without actually seeing it step-by-step daunting if not impossible.
Alan Revere is a fine teacher. Nothing is glossed over or skipped. Every construction step is completely and clearly shown and the skills are broadly applicable to other projects. Production values are solid and never distract. For a jewelry-making video, this is as good as it gets.
