Ron Covell brings his signature easy-to-follow style to using the English wheel, a machine notoriously difficult for beginners to ‘figure out’. Starting with the machine’s history and a clear explanation of the principles that enable the machine to move metal, Ron shows the basic ’tracking’ patterns that are used to shape panels of various sizes and configurations.
In addition to the common techniques of wheeling, Ron also shows some lesser-known processes, such as using a rubber top wheel, and doing embossing with the machine. Whether you’re brand-new to the English Wheel or an experienced user, you’ll find valuable information in this video.

It's a Ron Covell production. It's got to be great?
This DVD explains everything a newbee would ever want or need to know about using the english wheel. After watching this title you should feel confident enough to wheel your own sheet metal.
I had really only seen the talent on Discovery Channel work with the english wheel on the various car/bike shows. That got me interested enough to rent this DVD. After watching it, I had to have a wheeling machine! I've been able to produce some really cool stuff.
A fabricator friend of mine who has been using an english wheel of his own construction for about ten years, learned a number of techniques from watching this video that he was able to apply immediately.
It's a Ron Covell production. It is great!
Excellent video! I would highly recommend this video to anyone who wanting to start wheeling, as well as to anyone who has used an English wheel, but not extensively.
Best dvd I've seen on the subject. Well worth watching several times.
Very well done with great camera work, sound, and content. Even if you never plan to operate an english wheel this video is worthwhile.
This is a great presentation for beginners on the English Wheel. You will start out with clear expectations for what this tool can do. Mr. Covell does a great job.
Great instructional video. Not only in the technical aspect, but also Ron's manner of teaching. I was able to put his guidance to work immediately AND successfully.
OK video if your brand new to the English wheel. Shows basic techniques for the novice user. The really good stuff/tricks are at the end of the video but even then, it is rushed through. They do not give you very many examples.
Not a bad video, but seemed to be more about selling his tools than creating an instruction video. It is worth seeing, but not very detailed.
Very good, well worth seeing. Everything Covell does seems to be well organized and well thought out.
It was a very well presented DVD. I will recommend it to outhers. Thanks!
Covell's DVD was well done, informative, and occasionally amusing. It was a good primer for my first English Wheel experiments. I'd recommend this to anyone interested in English Wheel Techniques.
This is a very good DVD for a beginner.
I was looking for some basic information on wheeling, and was not disappointed.
I am not trained in metalworking or repair, but found the data excellent in content and instruction. I recently purchased an antique vehicle with a few dings and scrapes. I also purchased an English wheel. The techniques and procedures from the training video provided very useful insight into wheeling, I would recommend this video for anyone learning the wheel. Ray
Very professional, more of a company video though. I recommend it for anyone that has never seen a wheel before or touched one.
Excellent DVD. I am new at wheeling and I don't know how I could possibly learn how to use the English Wheel without it. It was very informative and well structured. Anybody starting out with the English Wheel; this is a must. Bill.
Not as much as i expected, but over all it gave me the information i needed
This video helped me understand more about the working of an English Wheel. I recommend it for any beginner interested in learning the English Wheel
The video gave me the confidence and knowledge that I needed. At a price and convenience that can't be beat. Russell Etienne
