This is the DVD adaptation of the most comprehensive handgun course in the world that everyone is talking about! Tactical Response’s Fighting Pistol course prepares you to prevail in a real world violent confrontation and now this DVD captures the Mindset, Tactics, and Legal lectures that Tactical Response has become famous for and it takes you for a one-on-one range session with James Yeager. This intensive DVD covers an incredible amount of material so watch it with a note pad! Topics include the role and attributes of the handgun, Mindset, Tactics, legal aspects of deadly force, anatomical stopping power, and mental conditioning for combat. Live fire drills include both one- and two-handed shooting, shooting on the move, use of cover and concealment, tactical-emergency-and speed loading, using both eye level and retention techniques, at a variety of ranges and from a variety of tactical body positions. This DVD is only for serious practitioners and is HEAVY with lecture on mindset, tactics, skill, and legal issues so if you are looking for another “shoot ‘em up DVD set that doesn’t address the REAL issues than this one is not for you. There is rangetime in this set but it mostly concentrates on the mental aspects of fighting.

I've only watched DVD 1, which is mostly the classroom section but this video seems to be the real deal and more useful than some of the other Bill Wilson/Lenny Magill's I've seen.
The instructor has a no-BS style and years of law enforcement practice to back up his ideas, and covers a LOT of info in the classroon.
I watched the whole series, liked it and learned a lot. As said by others it was a good deal of lecture, but the instructor is direct and easy to understand. You may not agree with everything he says and many will but he usually gave a reason and made me think about new issues - well worth the time and money.
This is the best video on "combat" handgun I have seen. The video have extensive lecture on mind set. And this is the most important aspect on winning a gun fight, or any fight for that matter. The instructor is very entertaining and extremely knowledgeable and experienced. I will be taking courses from tactical response after watching this video.
Great series of videos! I highly recommend to anyone who carries a pistol.
I recently completed an intermediate two day course on personal self defense that could have been the "range" portion of this series.
Many of these points were covered in our course too, but this series covered other aspects that our course didn't have time to cover. We spent most of the time on the range, as we should have.
I like the course and recommend it for anyone wanting a preview to an intermediate personal self defense course. As Mr. Yeager says, the video is no substitute for real experience, but this set is an excellent adjunct to the course I took.
A great set of videos. No substitute for actual instructions, but would be a great compliment to anyone who has attended Mr. Yeager's class. Far and away, one of the top 5 best DVDs I have seen on gunfighting. This is the one to watch, and don't bother with the Gunsite videos.
I have seen a lot of videos on the subject but if I had to chose one set it would be this one. Straight forward, valuable info, no bs, the best and final.
Finally a real world training set of videos. This guy walks you hand in hand to some of the best pistol tactics out there. I wish I had the resources to train with this guy.
Absolutely the best I ever saw. I recommend it above all else. Must see. I can't imagine someone disagreeing with me on this. Get the whole set.
Excellent set of DVD's. Covers the basics - drawing from the holster, reloads, malfunctions, one hand shooting, movement and multiple targets. Total length is approximately 4.5 hours (260+ minutes). Range demonstrations are about 1/3 and the rest is lecture. The classroom discussions cover mindset, legal issues, tactics, equipment, etc...
