Very well done - after watching this I think I am ready to give it a try -
Now if I only had the two dozen or so top end chisles he used in the demo -- Oh well - maybe I can get by with a sharp exacto and a couple gouges *NOT*
He makes it look so easy - just getting the Gun down to the stage ready to carve looks like a major challenge....
but his advice is spot on and anyone who needs to know how this part of rifle carving is done will do no worse then renting this fine work.
Outstanding video! Maybe the best instructional video I have seen. His method requires a ton of tools but maybe thats whats required to execute world class carvings.
Found the tutorial on sharpening and stabbing in of relief carving extremely educational. This is stuff you just can't get any where else.
Pretty good video. Need to follow up with a good book on the subject to get designs and such.
