Glass fusing is incredible fun. And making fused glass jewelry is one of the most fun things you can do in fusing. But, how do you take a piece of fused glass and turn it into a piece of jewelry? Vicki Payne and Jayne Persico explain all the techniques needed to become a bona-fide fused glass jewelry artist. How to design the piece. How to fuse the glass. How to embellish the glass with dichroic or etching. How to mount the glass as a pendant or make earrings. How to do simple wire-wrapping. Everything you need to turn your ideas into gorgeous glass jewelry. And that means, money in your pocket!

An interesting first look at fusing. Some steps went by a little quickly or assumed knowledge a beginner may not have, but it did spur some ideas for me.

If you don't have access to a class, this video is a decent introduction to fusing for jewelry, although as another reviewer mentioned, it skims over some details. I would have liked to have seen a little more depth and a little more emphasis on safety issues. You'll also need more instruction than this video gives for the finishing techniques (wire wrapping, in particular). However, I did pick up a couple of new ideas from the video.

Informative. Great for beginners. If you have no knowledge of glass fusing, this will give you a jump-start.

Very elementary. The production and editing are below many of to-day's offerings. The content is limited. There are no really innovative and interesting designs, only what one would have seen in any magazine article. If you have never fused a piece of glass before this may be of use, but is of little value to anyone with a modicum of experience.

Helpful...looking foreward to trying a few ideas.

This video is actually a taping of a couple TV shows and is very "crafty." This might be a good video for a rank beginner who isn't sure they want to fuse glass, but anyone who really wants to learn shouldn't get the information from this DVD.

I thought it did a good job of explaining the basics of glass jewelry fusing

I liked this video a lot. I am a rank beginner so i picked up lots of interesting ideas about the EvenHeat Hot box kiln; about kiln wash; about tack fusing vs full fusing. I took copious notes.
