Going into great detail as always, John & Geri McPherson here take the viewer thru every step, explaining all the way, on how to make fire by rubbing two sticks together. he McPherson series of instructional materials on primitive outdoor skills (Naked Into The Wilderness) have gained the reputation of being some of the best in the country - in fact, the world. This DVD is no exception. During this almost two hour presentation you are shown first the physics behind what makes a bow work and then John takes you step by step from fresh cut log to finished bow. Every stage is explained in the detail that the beginner needs to know in order to make him/her self capable of making a bow. And not forgetting the most important part - the Arrow - John again illustrates in great detail the steps in turning a wild dogwood shaft into a dowel like arrow.

Very informative. I'll be renting more of this series.
This was my first bow making video and I found the subject covered very well in this video. My only real criticism was the sound quality of the video made it hard to discern what the guy was saying when it got windy.
