Making A Brush-On Mold Of A 3-Dimensional Model

Making a Brush-On Mold DVD teaches how to reproduce a three-dimensional model by making a brush-on rubber mold. It covers how to properly prepare your model, mix and apply layers of mold rubber, apply a support shell over the cured rubber, remove the shell and mold from the model, and casting into the mold to make an exact reproduction.

You should be familiar with the basics of mold making and casting when viewing this video.This is the follow-up to Introduction to Mold Making and Casting.

This is how a video should be made. I own a number of Smooth-ons DVD's They cover the subject like a blanket. They are better done than almost all of the other technical DVDs out there. They answer your questions on the video almost before you can ask them. They are the place for all your needs as they develop most of the FX stuff used in the movies and big time art. I'm a satisfied customer of their products.

I haven't used the process yet in this video but I can tell you that it is a good one from the number of people that have talked about using it, but claiming they figured it out first.

I enjoyed it tremendously! Very informative from start to finish.Always having an interest, but never knowing I could actually do mold making or casting myself, the possibilities are endless. The video was a great inspiration,and answered all of my questions.

It was very informative but a bit daunting. I would also liked to have seen a video on doing a smaller casting which could be done with fewer steps.
