With todays price of clothing and people gaining & losing weight where could you find a more demanding profession. The investment is nothing compared to the profit, & these videos produced by Becky can put you right in the driver seat.
Becky developed this sewing skills video in response to numerous requests over the past few years to teach sewing classes in her home town Flagstaff, Arizona. Realizing that so many wanting to learn how to sew couldn't fit scheduled classes into their busy routines, the idea of learning at home at one's own convenience was met with positive enthusiasm.
Now anyone can learn the FUNdamentals of Sewing in their home at their convenience and enjoy the fulfillment of creativity, originality and accomplishment

These are great videos for anyone who wishes to learn the basics of machine and hand sewing and wishes to make their own clothing.
Just out of curiosity I rented these videos to see the differences in technique between upholstery and clothing sewing. I have rented the Merv's Upholstery videos listed elsewhere on this site.
Becky Titus is a great teacher. You feel you are sitting in her sewing room and she is your private teacher. The only negative... It appears the videos were shot in an analog format, fortunately Becky uses contrasting thread and material so you don't miss a stitch.
I reviewed the video for making a neck line twice. What I noticed was that she explained her self well, but the camera's angle was wrong when doing a close up. She used dark fabric and there wouldn't be enough lighting in the studio in my opinion. Then she used white fabric and demostrated a techinque with a light gray background. Not enough contrast.
I would recommend it to someone who is just starting to sew or has a limited knowledge of sewing. I found it to be very basic since I have been sewing for a verry long time, but I still learned a few things that I have yet to try. Welt button holes for example.
Did not get the best out of these dvds. They were dark, I could not see what she was show demonstrating. Did learn a little. The dvd was poorly shot.
I thought they were badly recored. I could not understand most of the important demonstrations that were out of focus. They were very long. JAS
This DVD is horribly made. The camera is not on a tripod, making it shaky and unfocused at times. The information was good but not enough to make up for the headaches of watching it.
this video is very informative.. learning from watching helped me to understand how to sew collars & sleeves.. i would recommend this video for anyone who is teaching themselves to sew..
