Great video but could only play it on my DVD player connected to TV. I wanted to take it to the shop and play it on my new laptop computer but it would freeze up.

Chris goes through quite a number of projects showing bothe off center spindle and faceplate work. Photography is pretty good and you can tell the tool techniques he is using. However, I didn't learn what cuts make what patterns which is something I was hoping to get. You can repeat his techniques and turn out the pieces he shows, but I don't think it would be too easy to expand on to your own projects.

Just as it says ... Basic Off Center Turning. Chris Stott may not be as well known a turner as Richard Raffan or David Ellsworth or Jimmie Clews, but he makes this tuff look sooooo easy ... the hallmark of someone who really knows what he is doing. Thoroughly enjoyed this video.
