I really enjoyed all three of Hugh Greer's videos. The first is very basic, but he shows you more in the second and the third. The basic is good, now knowing anything of his methods. and is only small parts are repeated in the other two. I'm looking forward to actually trying some of his suggestions. He makes it look so easy.
I really enjoyed the acrylic painting methods of Mr. Greer. He is very professional and explains every step of his paintings. My landscapes have always been with oils but I'm inclined to try acrylics after viewing his DVDs.

Excellent!! Basic, informative information. I really enjoyed the DVD. I will purchase a copy!
Interesting and informative. I think I learned a few pointers from this presentation.
I rented #2 of the 3 part series. I thought Hugh Greer was wonderful...a great teacher. I watched the video 3 times taking notes! Later this winter I will rent #3 to view. It is good for both beginner and intermediate painters. I am hoping that SmartFlix will buy more acrylic videos to view. It's such a fascinating medium and there are so many new breakthroughs in techniques and materials. I went out and bought a "shaper" right after the DVD. Ginny
Since I am an experienced painter I didn’t rent the DVD #1 However DVD #2 had a review of the materials and basics. I enjoyed both #2 and #3. Hugh’s approach to painting more than one subject kept the demos interesting. Hugh’s architect background really shows in his choice of tools and his attention to detail (in #3). I highly recommend these DVDs.
Pretty good video. Very basic. He has a nice, laid back approach and the outtakes at the end are pretty funny. I'd recommend for a beginner but i still picked up a few pointers.
This is super basic and just what i needed getting started with acrylics and painting for the first time. Nicely covered materials and introductory techniques.
Would recommend to anyone with no experience.
I am a beginner, but combined with his 1st video, there was a lot of good info on how to get started in this medium, and i suspect plenty of good information for the more experienced as well.
It's very hard to find much information in videos or book specifically geared to acrylics, so this was great for me.
I really enjoyed Hugh Greer's Acrylic Painting DVD. I have his book "Acrylic Landscape Painting" seeing the DVD help me understand some of his techniques. However, I do think this is for someone who has experience with acrylics. His, techniques, supports, ruling pen (which I have never tried) brushes are not what I normally use. I do like that he uses a very limited palette. If you are looking for a different way to try your acrylic, this would be an excellent DVD to watch I wanted to see this DVD, not only because I have his book, but he will be in my area this fall, doing a workshop. Its nice to know before hand how he is, as a teacher. He is an excellent teacher. L. Clare
I rented both the Landscape Studies In Acrylic and Create Mood & Atmosphere With Color & Value and was disappointed because I expected the acrylic paints to be used as heavy body paint, as in oil painting, not as watermedia.
Very good demonstration of the potential of Golden liquid acrylic. I learned a number of useful tips and techniques.
The instructional dvds by Hugh Greer are really good! I learned a lot. He is very sharing with his information and techniques. I would rent them again.
