In this course Darrell will show you how to cut your group sizes in half or more by improving the rifles function using existing parts and by employing the tricks of custom gun makers that you can do yourself. Save Big Bucks by "Saving" your existing barrel by recrowning, setting back and re-throating the chamber. When to do Cryo work and stress relief, heavy, pinned, recoil lug, blueprinting the action and lapping the lugs, bedding for 100% contact and all the details of perfect stock fit. Plus- trick after market parts that really work, proper barrel break-in techniques, fitting a special firing pin, trigger, bolt stop and Why. Everything that you need to know to tune up your factory rifle is covered in this course. Although most applicable to the Remington 700 and Winchester Model 70 rifles which are covered in detail, many of the techniques can be applied to numerous other models as well.

This was a very informative video with better than average photography. I would recommend this to hobbists who would like to improve their rifles.
There was a lot of good informative information. However the tools needed to accomplish most of the steps are well beyond my means of a hobbyist. Seems to me the cost of these items are much more than the cost of a custom rifle in the first place.
Excellent instruction on what makes an accurate rifle. If you want this knowledge, then rent this video. But don't expect that you'll be breaking down your rifle in the garage to do the demonstrated work, unless you have a machine shop, machining experience, and lots of tools. This video is really for gunsmiths who have a shop setup to do this kind of work, just like the instructor.
However, even if you're just a rifle owner who wants to know what makes a rifle shoot accurately, the rental fee is worth the knowledge you'll gain. The video quality is not the best (digitized from VHS), but the camera work is good, and the instructor & information is top-notch.
I thought that this was an excellent video. Darrel Holland has always been a good instructor. The information provided here is aimed at the gunsmith with use of a metal lathe and is consistent with that required to make accurate rifles. I would highly recommend this video if you are deeply involved in rifle smithing.
I'd agree with the above reviews: good information, but beyond the abilities of most hobby shooters.
Still, it was well worth renting just to know the information.
Very good video, clean disk and shipped about right for me to absorb it all before having to return to SmartFlix. Thank you for good service.
