This is the first instructional DVD in the life casting instructional series. Sculptor, artist and teacher Ed McCormick, shows you how to create face casts using very young models. Taped in his Summit, NJ studio, and endorsed by the Association of Lifecasters International, you will join Ed as he creates face casts of two 9-year old twins, Jake and Jesse. Beginners to advanced artists and sculptors will find this DVD informative. It provides the step-by-step process in an easy-to-learn format. Ed teaches you how to artistically pose a live model and then shows how to prepare the model for molding. He then demonstrates how to mix and apply a body safe molding material, FiberGel. You will learn how to apply plaster bandages and to mix casting plaster to create the cast. Ed then shows you how to correctly de-mold to reveal the face casts ready for finish.

Sculptor, author and teacher David Parvin demonstrates the techniques he uses in his 5-day workshops to mold and cast sculptural works using the female form. David explains every step thoroughly and succinctly including the use of materials and their application. He first demonstrates his technique using a silicone torso. He then shows how to create a casting using the nude figure. Finally, he shows how to cast over clothing using a young ballerina in a leotard to create a work showing every fold of cloth. This DVD provides creative ideas and tips for even the most advanced artist and sculptor.

Sculptor, author and teacher David Parvin demonstrates the techniques he uses in his 5-day workshops to mold and cast babies hands and feet as well as casting a wreath of hands and a ballet dancer's foot. David explains every step of mixing the molding material and pouring the casting material to achieve bubble free castings every time. He explains a number of tricks to keeping a baby still while creating a hand and foot mold. You’ll learn how to cast a hand holding an object, how to create hands of couples and how to create a wreath of hands. As well as all these castings, David also suggests ideas for finishing a mounting.
