Product availability: very long wait
Nice quality DVD shows some basic steps for body repair, panel replacement, and painting. Eample used is a dented, rusted Mustang. Very common situation. 1st DVD takes you through basic dent removal, metal prep, body putty application, sanding, etc. 2nd DVD "painting techniques" gives the basic steps for preping a vehicle for paint, primering, painting, clear coat and polishing. The 3rd DVD is my favorite. It shows panel patching without welding, Quarter panel skin replacement, door skin replacement, and floor panel replacement all on a Mustang. I am in the middle of doing similar work on a Mustang and this video provided me with the ability to see someone else do the job so that I know I'm proceeding in the right direction.
I have read most of the info before but there is nothing like actually seeing it to make it clear. Highly recommended.
Good information, will be very helpful for beginners.
Good info for the beginner. Work was done on a Mustang, So is my project. Gave me more confidence in doing my project. Thanks.
I like your service. It was fun and streamlined to rent this DVD. Keep up the good work and I will share my experience with others.
This guy does great work. You will learn how to set your spray gun and patterns, step by step in shooting primer to steps of shooting paint. I recommended to all. Two thumbs way up.
Very informative and detail on how to steps, look forward to renting other CD’s.
Nice video but I was disappointed that nowhere in the Video did the presenter show how to manage large and deeper dents. There are such interesting tools like the slide hammer and puller and also the stud welder. These are critical to any major dent repair work and this is where one would have loved to see more action than mere pulling of a tiny dent that was almost insignificant. I hope the other videos I am renting will address these important areas.
The information provided by the video was good. The time to get the video, from the time ordered, was over a month and is an area that should be improved by your service.
Not a bad primer for beginners. Could've used more info on paints viscosity, dilution etc. Video blocked some meaningful shots where you should have had unobstructive close-ups of the more difficult areas.
Great product, Very comprehensive, hands on and informative.
Excellent!! I initially bought the Paintucation DVD and was very disappointed. It showed little detail on basic procedures and left me feeling that I had to get more information which was why I rented this one. This DVD was a very pleasant surprise, seeming to miss nothing, showing everything in detail and even giving a listing of all the materials used. You won't be disappointed.
Larry Lyles knows his stuff and this video and its companions fill the bill. The one thing that stinks about these DVDs is that not only is the sound monaural, but it's only one channel so you won't hear it through both speakers.
