Fantastic video!!! I can't recommend too much that you see this. Everything she says you will learn, you will! The ease of sculpting she introduces is exceptional. The mystery is gone. The delight of picking up your tools and following along with her, turns into a song and not a drudge! You will truly make items just like she does from this video!!!
I really enjoyed this video. I am justing starting out and it gave me some really good information.
The video was good but she skipped over little things like actually showing how to fix the hair to look natural, but overall it was informative.
I think I have bought or rented all of Patricia Rose's sculpting videos, and her work is exquisite, her tutorials easy to understand, and I recommend any of her DVDs for beginning or intermediate sculptors!
Excellent video. Clear shots, great tips. A must rent.
Misses: It's hard to find any. I guess if i really wanted to nitpick, she sniffles a lot due to an allergy to a neighbors blooming tree (she explains it on the video and apologizes.) She keeps referring to her audience as girls. My wife kept making fun of me for this. Guys can do this too though!
Pluses: Clear video. Lots of great tips. Clear instructions. The author is a true artist and really knows her stuff.
Overall: If you want to make realistic looking dolls, action figures, or mermaids, this is the video you need!
Very enjoyable! I learned a lot from this video. I loved her techniques! The video's even came with a print out of form and wings. I would recommend these video's to anyone interested in making their own poly dolls!
I highly recommend this dvd, especially for beginners. It is so informative and detailed. I recommend to watch any instructional dvd through once before you begin. Excellent dvd. Recommend it to all. Can't wait to start.
