This video is filled with fantastic close-up shots, which bring the action into clear view. Ron Covell shows dozens of ways to work with tubing, including bending with heat, bending with both inexpensive and high-end tube bending machines, mitering, flaring, and tapering tubing. There is an extensive section that deals with using U-bends, showing how to create anything from simple water pipes to elaborate headers. Most of the techniques use only simple shop equipment! You'll love it!

Excellent video on working with tubing. Ron demonstrates many different ways to bend tubing from simple hand bending to using a hydraulic bender. This video is very basic so don't expect any intricate projects. Almost all projects are done on a single piece of tubing. If you've never worked with tubing this would be great way to start.
Good introduction to working with tubing, using everything from simple hand tools to larger industrial-quality machinery. Also shows a few tricks that I'd never have thought of, such as using an adjustable-band hose clamp with a notch cut in it to hold two pieces of tubing togther for welding.
The video takes you from low tech bending that you could do today, through the use of high end machines. The pace is good and covers a lot of ground.
It was an interesting DVD: technical and dry. But I did learn some things about working with tubing and will probably rent additional DVD's from your company.
The process and ease of returning the rental was good. Thanks.

Good show! IMHO, Ron could have gone into a little more detail, just a little though. Ron Covell simplifies things so even your big toe can understand! He shows you what you can do with the most basic of tools. I liked it!
I feel this video insulted my intelligence... It taught things that I was doing when I was 10 years old. COME ON!!!!!
Thought it was going to be a video about working with tubing like the picture on the front of the video. It shows a header that has major bending work. I thought it was going to be Covell giving his all in how to design and fabricate with tubing. Instead, it tells you things like heat the tube and bend it, fill a tube with sand and then bend it for less distortion...WOW!
I wouldn't waste the money on this unless you are very clueless about working with tubing. If you don't know that heating tubing will allow you to bend it, then this video is for you. Otherwise, this video is not useful.
Very cool examples of working with basic bending techniques. I enjoyed it!
A good Ron Covell DVD overall, good intro to tubing styles, how to cut, obviously methods for bending. This ultimately is the boring High School Math class version of what could a great DVD, if only it had some flare and real word applications in the instructions. It not generally useful to watch people bend random pieces of pipe and tube, with no actual application. Would still recommend it.
Overall, this video was good. It showed a number of techniques in working with steel tubing. It covers heating, bending around forms, filling tubes with sand, a few types of bending machines, and U-bends. I have previously done little with U-bends so I found this section very useful. I have two complaints about the video. Covell often dumbs stuff down too much for me. It would be better if he covered more material at greater depth. Basically, he shouldn't assume I'm so dumb. My other complaint is that this video only covers steel tubing. The only other material covered was a gag clip at the end where he snaps an aluminum tube while trying to bend it. No details were provided on special things to keep in mind with aluminum, copper, etc.
Good Video. I learned a few things:o)
Very basic and slow moving. Thought there would be a lot more info ---
Just beginning an interest in metal working. This video was quite educational for a novice.
Excellent filming. Clearly explained. Strictly exhaust tubing but I can see where I would use this in sculpting with steel.
