Stright foward and very informative. If you have any interest in this area rent this video first as it can save you a great deal of money. He shows you very efficiant ways of gearing using different lathes. I would recommend!

Smith has done this more than once or twice. He makes this look easy. I hope it is just as easy for me when I get my lathe. Seriously, Smith is a great instructor with tons of experience in the work shop and I'm glad he is sharing that information with the rest of us who watch his DVD.

The instructor is a craftsman. He is old and has trouble breathing so listening to the video is annoying. Much time is spent watching him sawing or sanding. I was more interested in machine operations so I did not care much for this video.
