Well put together. Good content. Some basic sharpening and holding technics. Basic beading and parting along with some info on inside turning. This guy is good and a fast turner. Not great for the very beginer but has a good bit of info for the learning. Donny
I thought the video was very good and instructive.
Fast paced but really came home on the second viewing. Worth buying to refer to again and again. Richard really covers a lot in one DVD.
Excellent, just what I was looking for. Not elementary and not too advanced. Looked like a real woodworker, his shop was 2-5 inches deep in wood shavings!
The DVD was excellent for the beginning turner. If you also have Richard Raffan's book, Turning Wood the DVD gives a visual image of the descriptions. I highly recommend the DVD.
I've never had any formal instruction in woodturning, and have only turned a few pieces. This video taught me a number of interesting things, and after watching it I turned my first piece the didn't require any finish sanding! I'd say this is a super video for the new turner.
The DVD had some good tips , but not that informative.
Excellent for novice - beginner.... like me. Well explained, great camera work.
I have rented the following turning DVDs: Turning Boxes ... with Richard Raffan Turning Wood ... with Richard Raffan From the Tree to the Table ... with Mike Mahoney. This one is the most informative of all.
This was great. I made a tool handle and Goblet, this was a great DVD.
