Great video , he breaks down each feature of the portrait , from the eyes, nose, mouth hair , each one by one and shows you how to put them all together to make a beautiful portrait . On a scale from 1-100 I will give it a 89
Excellent skin textures and color renditions..he threw in a few technigues that I never tried.
This DVD is a must have for anyone interested in airbrushing. The instructor leaves nothing out in his explanations regarding various techniques. You will be amazed at the secrets revealed in airbrush techniques.
I have seen many incredible works of airbrush art and always wondered how certain things were done. Trust me with this DVD you will know exactly how it is done and you will think to yourself, "I would have never thought of that". This DVD I watched so much that I started seeing airbrush strokes in my sleep. You have to see this and the advanced DVD.
Excellent video set. I would highly recommend this set as it shows several techniqes and "how to's". The 2nd video is 2 hours and it kept my interest the entire time I viewed it. I think the first video should have briefly shown how the artist arrived generating the traced out image he was painting on. It was only mentioned near the end of the 2nd video that an opaque projector was used. I've only been airbrushing for a few months. This is the best instructional airbrush video I've viewed so far, out of about 6 others. Great product!
I would highly recommend this excellent instructive DVD for both the beginner and advanced airbrush artist.
I rented the set and there is a lot I learned. very useful information I got a lot of ideas just by watching S. Driscoll airbrushing.
Very good portrait techniques. But if you plan to rent the advanced portrait techniques, do not rent the basic portrait techniques since all the material is covered in the advanced technique video.
Steve Driscoll is a master at airbrushing portraits. A very detailed and well-explained video, in which he takes the time to explain each and every facet of detail. His highlighting technique greatly contributes to the realism of his artwork. Excellent and valuable instruction.

In depth, talks about the paints, the colors, how to make the colors, if you would like to paint portraits on canvas or illustration board, then this is the video for you. There is alot of erasing techniques that you cannot use on metal or t-shirts or other surfaces....
Overall a great video by a great artist...
I picked up some very useful tips and techniques. Basic portrait techniques, I feel was more explained and helpful than the advanced dvd. Great rental. Highly recommended.
Steve Driscoll is an amazing artist. I sat there watching work on the individual components of the face - eyes, nose, mouth, hair. Overall, this is a good video on some of the techniques to do a portrait. One thing that I didn't like as well was that sometimes, he was really focusing in on his painting and not really explaining what all he was doing. He was speaking generally but not giving too many specifics on what he was doing and how he accomplished it. Still, a good video to watch if you're looking for some general techniques of portraiture.
Steve Driscoll is a fantastic airbrush artist. I really loved this video and it is one of the best I have seen on airbrushing. I learned a lot about the airbrush and even many techniques that will help my pencil portrait work. This would be one I may purchase for viewing many times. The portrait he does of Frank Sinatra is incredible!
I rented the set and between them it is not bad from the perspective you can get some good tips and ideas for portrait work ... but in my opinion the man himself seems mono-tone and can put you to sleep. I'll give it a 4 out of 5 for his tips and talent.

I am enthusiastic about airbrush painting thou I no little about it. I have purchased a few air brushes items from Iwata and Badger and Master, and found that truly if you follow what see on this video, surely you will improve your technique. Great video

I took Steve's class in Vegas. This is a great video to watch. It offers a lot of the same advice he gives in his classes. If you have taken his class, this is a great way to remember his lessons, if you haven't taken his class, this is a great way to learn his material.
This was a GREAT video for rendering texture and getting your portraits up to par!
