This video focuses on techniques other than torch work. It covers equipment and supplies needed to get started with glass fusing, safety concerns and time saving tips. Projects include a test strip to determine compatibility of glass, small cabochons, odd shaped cabochons, beads prepared in four different ways, four different ornaments, tiles and plates. All projects use fusible, compatible glass. One project shows how to fuse Moretti millifiore. Kathy Wilson has been a glass fuser for four years, but has been an active partner in Crystal Myths, Inc. for 10 years In October, 1996, during the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta, President Bill Clinton purchased directly from Kathy a dish she had made depicting a cat similar to the First Cat, Socks.

I enjoyed this DVD more than some of the others I've looked at recently. Kathy Wilson goes into detail on glass compatibility, equipment and safety. I would recommended this video for someone just beginning in fused glass.
Good basic knowledge for the beginner.Instructions for a number of basic projects.
Very informative - it let the viewer know everything need to set up a shop for fusing.
Recently took a fusing and slumping class and found the video helpful in reinforcing what I had learned. Also gave some simple projects with which I could begin my experimenting.
It was interesting but really lacked some detail that would have been nice to have. While some of the projects were subjectively fugly, it was a good starting point from which to do your own art.
Good for only the very beginner in fusing. It was interesting to watch her husband make stringer at the very end.
