Another great AGI video. Robert Dunlap shows you from beginning to end how to perform a trigger job on AR-15s and weapons that use the same type of trigger system (like AK, G3, M14 / M1, most of your semi-automatic versions of military assault rifles). Once again, if it's an AGI video it's probably really good. If you are looking to learn about trigger jobs rent this DVD.
Exactly what I wanted but a bit over my - and probably most people's - gunsmithing abilities. By the time I bought all the special tools to do the one and only trigger job I'll most likely ever do, I could about buy a replacement trigger. Good quality dvd though & very good explanations and teaching.
Excellent video and well illustrated. I successfully altered the trigger with a minimum of effort and was able to reduce the pull and reduce the creep in the trigger. The rifle functions reliably with no unusual events or double fires.
Great, easy to follow. Could have gotten more in-depth on the topic it seemed like he winged it on the trigger job he performed. But i recommend it, A+!
Great Video.. Makes ME nervous grinding the hammer and sear.... But he does a good job and works great...
I have a few issues with this DVD. First and foremost, the instructor picks up an AR-15, complete with magazine and pulls the trigger. NO! NO! NO! A gun, all guns, are always loaded. You drop the magazine, pull the charging handle several times and then you can pull the trigger after you have made sure it was unloaded. All instructional DVDs need to show safe gun handling. Second thing is why someone wants to do a trigger job. If you want a match trigger buy one. After the trigger was worked on it broke at a very light setting (seemed unplanned). This is not a science but more of an art. Anyone trying this should have several extra parts on hand. I wanted to see before and after pieces next to each other. The DVD does gives a great explanation of how an AR trigger works. That's worth the price of the rental. AR's for serious work should keep the stock triggers. Buy quality trigger parts (DPMS, Rock River, Armalite, Colt) polish them with a Cratex wheel, and learn to shoot with it. Two stage and match triggers are just that, for match shooting. Be careful, be safe, and have fun.
