How to Run Engines and Cars on Hydrogen and Other Fuels

...with Roy McAlister and Steven Harris

How-To Video: How to Run Engines and Cars on Hydrogen and Other Fuels by Roy McAlister and Steven Harris 3_bulb Review this video!

Drive for 75 Cents a Gallon or Less!

Engine conversion and car conversion to hydrogen fuel and hydrogen boosting of natural gas, gasoline, diesel, alcohol, turbines and more.

Mr. McAlister has been running cars and engines on Hydrogen for over 40 years.

Mr. Harris was a development engineer in the scientific labs of Chrysler / Daimler Chrysler doing vehicle development work for 10 years and consults professionally with Mr. McAlister in the Vehicle, Energy, Hydrogen and Electrochemistry field.

On the DVD you will see and have explained:

* Hydrogen and gas manifolds, metering and control valves and hardware, injector nozzles and orifices.
* Pressure gages and regulators and more. The exact pressure to regulate to out of the tank, the exact pressure for you to start with at your manifold and valves.
* Small engine conversion
* How a hydrogen engine works
* What the Otto cycle is
* Roy covers the operation of a gasoline engine and a hydrogen engine on the white board, then Steven covers the detailed operation of a 4 cycle engine with you. You must understand the fundamentals of internal combustion engines in order to understand and to really convert your vehicle. It's not that hard
* Not too much math, physics and chemistry; just enough.

this is a pretty cool video but don't think that after you've watched it you're going to be able to go out in the garage and convert your car. While they do show you the components of the conversion (which are pretty simple) there is a lot to it. You would also need a pricey tank for the hydrogen. Also one of the things I didn't like about the video was, while the content was really good and informative, the narrator seems to have this chip on his shoulder the whole time. There's a good section explaining why those under the hood hydroboost gizmos don't work, but it was almost difficult to get through the section because of the before mentioned chip on the guys shoulder. Sure, he was an automotive engineer in research, sure he has a lot of experience, but get over it man, just explain it to me in a non-condecending manner. Also in the sections like the one on the under the hood hydroboosts design the video basically consists of you watching him write in a notebook. All in all there's some good information but it wasn't what I was expecting from the title, I was expecting more of a straight forward how-to video, and as I said the guys attitude was a real turn-off for me.

There is a lot of good basic technical information in this video. It details all the math and science of what works and what doesn't. But don't worry about it being college-level boring.... It isn't. The two men who speak talk in every day language and they make a technical subject understandable to the average person with a basic understanding of math and mechanics. The one thing that I didn't like (and was pointed out in another review) is the bad attitude of the narrator. He even makes a very insulting anti-Christian comment at one point, which has no place in a technical training course. That was completely inappropriate.

There are two guys who speak in this video. The older guy who is the Hydrogen and alternative fuel expert, and the narrator who never shows himself on camera. The narrator is the guy with the chip on his shoulder and who made the inappropriate comment. If it weren't for him, this would have been a totally awsome course.

Well so much for that DVD. I have enough to do without listening to a DVD with an attitude.

I'll keep shopping for info but I don't want to even go here!

This is a video that has important information regarding hydrogen production, and in particular, its use on engines. It should have gone into more detail for automotive use, however. I'd like to have seen the actual hook-up on the car.

Bottom line: Video content - good.

Great information and worth watching, but the narrator is annoying and sounds like a jerk. He needs to shut his mouth and let Mr. McAlister talk without being interrupted. It took me forever to get though watching it because I couldn't stand listening to the narrator.

This is a very interesting video. Both of the instructors are well versed in the topics discussed, and they really got me interested in this subject. The one criticism I have is the video is somewhat disjointed and sometimes rambling I would recommend a professional editor for the next project. This video is well worth watching.

It didn't really seem to teach me anything except show what is possible. They seem to really know what they are talking about, but I didn't learn to make a thing. ~ Paul

I enjoyed Mr. Roy McAlister's presentations, but Steven Harris is very BORING, and comes across as an arrogant, boasting, loudmouth, and interrupts Mr. McAlister's presentation too much with his childish comments! Mr. Steven Harris does not do justice to Mr. McAlister as a NARRATOR in my opinion.
