A novice production to docking. Poor illustrations, prop-walk not really defined. I was looking for a DVD where a complete explaination of docking and leaving the slip was shown. Especially, backing out of a slip as my "tank of a boat" refuses to respond to the rudder. Spring line pivots were hard to see, docking lines were not demostrated with illustrations so it was hard to visulize.

NOT RECOMMENDED for experienced sailors.

Good DVD for modern fin keel light displacement boats. Shows all of the basics , however, I think accompanying diagrams would have made it better. Drouge deployment could of been a bigger part.

Video is almost amateurish as far as production quality and presentation. Techniques discussed and demonstrated are noteworthy, however.

It is obviously impossible to capture and demonstrate all conceivable docking situations in one video but this one gave enough examples to stimulate the thought process relative to the basic problems frequently encountered.

The presentation became repetitious and somewhat boring as the producers tried to encompass a large number of typical docking situations.

Overall the video has definite merit.
