The one thing you really want to learn is how to not cut through the bottom and the DVD doesn't tell you! It just says, "You will learn this with time". The text files on the manufacturer's website do better than that.

The instructor doesn't go into details of his method of work. What instruction is there is superficial.

A disappointment.

Short and superficial. The most important and trickiest part - maximizing the # of bowls and not cutting through the bottom - all he says is "you will learn with time".

I don't believe he has even read the PDF's on the manufacturer's website. The manufacturer recommends the Steven D. Russell bowlturning video which has a segment on coring.
