This is a really cool old military instructional video. Basically they teach you about the basic priciples of firearms and how and why they work. Instead of trying to zoom into the dark areas inside a firearm they build a model right in front of you. Every thing is oversized clear and exposed. I wish they still made armorers videos this way.

The DVD contains three U.S. Army small arms training films from the end of WW II or just after. The films were intended to orient new soldiers to the theory and function of their weapons. The films demonstrate why we win our wars: the soldiers are eager and smart and the Army respected them enough to teach them more than just how to point and shoot.

The films are technically accurate and very informative, but they are also an entertaining look back at the Army of the late 1940's.

This old army instructional video is actually pretty good at showing the basics of function. They use a lot of very large "cut away" replicas of WW2 period firearms as props to help explain things. Good info.

This series of 3 WWII training films is an excellent learning tool showing in detail how guns work. Contrary to stereotypes of the Army being beaurocratic and inefficient, the soldiers who produced these films really got it right. This may not be money well spent for those who are highly knowledgeable about firearms operation. But for all others, these films are excellent.
