I rented the Ring Forming Techniques DVD and I must say it was impressive. Tips and tricks you need to know in order to make the perfect ring! I highly suggest renting this... see it twice and take notes. You'll become an expert at creating rings if you do so! I'm going to try another of her Dvd's...well worth the rental fee!
Great video, very easy to understand. She explained everything very well. I learned alot from this.
This DVD series is by far the best I have ever seen. Hattie walks you step by step in a clear and succinct manner. I have never done polymer clay or PMC but watching this DVD I am sure I will be able to make some wonderful pendants, bracelet pieces, earring and rings. I've order my supplies and can't wait to get started.
Great DVDs! Hattie shows every step of a project and explains how to use her tools. She shows how to make a few tools in polymer clay, how to use her molding compound, how to use her drying mats, etc. Also, she includes different ways to fire and polish a piece, use liver of sulfur, plating etc. I've taken a couple of classes and I still learned a lot from the DVDs. This would also be fine for a beginner.
The first DVD might be a little slow if you have already used PMC or taken a class. However, it is worth sitting through the 1st disc as the tips and Hattie's methodology are very useful. The remaining discs are really great!
This is a great DVD. What I loveis that instructions for every project are detailed letting you see step by step. Lots of really good tips. Excellent techniques. I definitely recommended.
This DVD was wonderful! Hattie Sanderson has mastered the art and teaches it in a very simply and understandable way. She teaches progressively from the basics and builds on that until you are 100% comfortable creating your own metal clay masterpieces. I have found all of her wonderful tools from PMC Supply. www.pmcsupply.com I highly recommend this DVD!
For anyone who would like to try making jewelry etc with metal clay the set of 4 DVDs is well worth viewing. There are many projects and the repetition of the basic tasks is in reality very useful. I'm less interested in using the material than in educating myself with various craft techniques and the set satisfies me and will help budding jewelry makers.
Loved her video, easy to follow. The first part of the video tells you how to use the tools and then in the other video, it gives you projects to make.
This was a really good video with great projects for learning more about PMC.
This lesson was great. Hattie is a very detailed teacher, and helps me get my creative juices flowing and this dvd gave me the means to see some of them come to fruition.
Hattie seems like a pleasant enough person but is a really annoying and boring (both!) instructor. This is a basic level instruction but still provided nothing very exciting or innovative-pushed her products a lot. I had intended to rent the rest of the series but I can't make myself listen and watch her any more.
This DVD was well done -- understandable and clearly explained directions. It is very helpful to watch someone who is masterful using the Art Clay -- I always learn things from watching Hattie work with the clay.
Rings are tough, but this instructor makes the task easy. All in all, the quality of the video very good with many close-ups and simple to follow instructions.
Recommended for those that have some experience working with PMC or Art Clay.
Hattie is a fantastic instructor and makes it easy for you to learn or enhance your skills. All of her DVD are GREAT!

These DVD's were great. I learned more from watching them than I did from attending expensive PMC hands-on classes. Hattie Sanderson makes everything so easy, and gives great tips for making rings and jewelry. I had been intimidated about making rings after trying several that shrunk way too much. This is frustrating because the clay is expensive and something you don't want to waste. I am now unable to make beautiful rings that are sized perfectly. I would recommend these DVD's to anyone who is interested in this wonderful art form. What I learned from them was priceless!
Hattie Sanderson has produced far and away the best videos for teaching solid, fundamental skills for working with precious metal clay. (The techniques she teaches apply equally to PMC or Art Clay Silver, although as I recall her videos use PMC products.) She teaches best practices that will allow even first-time precious metal clay users to create fine silver jewelry successfully.
The 3-part series should be viewed in order, as each video refers to, and builds on, the skills and techniques taught in the previous one(s) in the series.
Highly recommended!
