Ron takes a back seat for most of this one but Joe does an excellent job of laying out the process and explaining the steps involved. With all the potential problems and solutions that are met as well as attention to finer details I would definitely recommend this video to anyone considering this project

Kevin offers a lot of good tips, his best perhaps touching on the safety aspect of protective equipment and the potential consequences to your health. Also his demonstration on gun control and set up as well as his sequence used to paint what parts of a car first are probably the biggest contribution in helping anyone who has never painted before

John's main focus in this video is tracking techniques, for good reason as he deems that to be the key to proper form when using this machine. However it did tend to make this video longer than necessary in my view. Through editing, all of the information would have still been there while moving the demonstration along. If I had one other criticism, it would be what I felt was a bit of a vague description on how to set pressures. I did like his use of a blackboard to illustrate what he was doing on the wheel as quite often cameras have a hard time showing the viewer whats happening.

This was the first in an excellent series by Larry. Covers a lot of detail with excellent explanations and visuals. Very good camera work and production. Amazing just to watch these two older fellows whacking in nails with one hit. Larry's main focus is in demonstrating the framing process as efficiently as possible and he does indeed show a lot of time savers.

Video: Framing Walls

Larry's second in a three part series. These are probably some of the best how to series I've ever seen. Lots of information but still keeps the video moving smoothly along with out undue footage perfectly edited I'd say. Watching this I'd compare it to an apprenticeship program. Everything broken down in simple steps and he shows various framing methods for different applications.

Video: Framing Roofs

Well if you could not tell from my other reviews I kind of like this old guy. Very instuctive, illustrative use of models to demonstrate roof pitches, parts and how they are calculated. Shows easy ways for determining angles for two intersecting roofs. For clarity, maybe should note that the rafters he uses in this video are not the prebuilt factory truss type some may be familiar with today but are instead the common type with ridge board. This was an excellent series from Taunton Press and one of few that I actually bothered to buy

I got this one thinking it would be based more on gunstock bedding with various epoxies than anything else and was quite surprised to learn just how involved undertaking a project like this was. The majority consists of a lot of metal lathe work and milling and I confess to those elements of machining to being over my head. That said though I did find Darell Holland to be an excellent instructor very clear on what he was doing and the tolerances he was trying to acheive, if you know how to work with machining equipment and use dial indicators and micrometers than one can easily build one of these as he is very specific as to what procedures he is using and their measurements.
