Video: Flux Core Welding

I tried flux core welding for a while on a job that required us to be out of the shop. At that time I only was mig welding and was not familiar with flux core. I must say it took some getting use to as well as patience to get use to the technique. I didn't believe that it was anymore difficult to do it was that I was expecting the same look you get from mig as i was welding but in the end I mastered it and the job went well. I like that I can wire weld inside and outside, mig is by far my best way of welding, Also flux core welding reminded me of arc welding in a way as you were going along slag was coating the weld so you have to chip it away like in arc so in that aspect is why I say that, other than that I really must say I enjoyed the process just as much as mig welding and would not hesitate to use it on a job that required it. I actually am applying for a job that specifies the use of flux core that is why I am here now so I can watch some video and reacquaint myself with this form of welding.
