It's hard to beat an instructional video by W.R. Smith. He's a clockmaker of the first order, but the tool making tips and ideas he shares in this video are easily adapted to uses for the home shop machinist. Some of the setups shown in this video are done on the Myford, some on the Sherline. Either way, useful info for anyone in the clock making or home machinist game. The video quality is quite good, and though Smith is a soft spoken gentleman, everything is plain and clear. He shows things as basic as simple cutter making to setting up for gear cutting and using an auxiliary spindle for indexing on the lathe. Very good all around.
