Lenny McGill must have acquired this video from someone else. It falls far below his usual production standards. The video looks like it was shot in someone's garage with a hand-held camera. While providing a fair amount of technical information in the latter parts of the show, the Garand history is a poorly done rehash of information already well-known to any reasonably informed Garand owner or collector. The guy who reads the script -- slowly and painfully -- is just awful. The section on disassembly and nomenclature relies on the "magic hands" technique. The gunsmith doing the work never allows more than his hands and forearms to be seen, which makes it difficult to understand the manipulations. (Perhaps he is in the federal witness protection program.) If you can force yourself to sit through this grotesque production, there are a few worthwhile nuggets of information buried near the end. In general, I think customer's would be better served by the AGI M1 Garand Armorer's course.

Excellent production. Mandatory viewing for those transitioning to the AK from the AR15 system. The AK is emphatically, NOT an AR15. The AK has entirely different ergonomics and handling characteristics. This video will teach you the correct methods for manipulating the AK, including safety, charging handle, mag release, and sling. Also covers aspects of the Russian martial art "Systema" and use of the AK as an impact weapon rather than a firearm.
