This is a very good video for people wanting to get started with welding. The video shots of the actual process are very clear. The instructor is clear, concise, thorough and likable. Welding "out-of-position" (vertical and horizontal on a vertical face) is also demonstrated.

In welding it's all about controlling the puddle of molten metal that you are working with. That skill will serve you well in MIG, TIG and stick. Oxy-Acetylene welding is very underrated. In World War II some of the greatest aircraft of all times were built out of stainless steel, aluminum, chrome-moly steel and other alloys that were all welded perfectly with oxy-acetylene. And it's great for auto body restoration and fabrication.

When I rent these videos I consider it money well spent if I learn one or two things that I can apply to my own projects. Seeing people do this stuff also has the good effect of inspiring me to do it. I got all that from The Complete Fiberglass and Composite Library

The first four sections are about building up your prototype and then making a mold from which you will make your final product. This is the way to go if you want to produce light, strong pieces without wasting materials and have the ability to make more than one copy of the prototype. If you are just making one item, one time, mold-less may be the way to go. That's covered in the last section on disk 2.
