The camera work is not always ideal, but the material covered is fascinating and reasonably well-organized. I'm not a glass-worker, so I don't know how complete or thorough the information is. You'd need some grounding in the basics before diving into the techniques here, but it's still great stuff to watch.
This wasn't so much a glassblowing video as a little visit with William Gudenrath, and while he seems like a charming fellow, I was hoping to learn a bit more about the glasswork and less about his time at Julliard and his fondness for Bach. The other video I've seen from Corning (Intro to Furnace Glassblowing) was clear, well-produced and full of information. This one, though equally well-produced, was rambly and slow. There's glassblowing information here, but you have to wade through a lot of bio-pic to get to it.
This was an exceptionally clear, well-edited video. Mike Mahoney gives a lot of helpful information without much chitchat or filler. Any turner interested in producing practical woodenware would get something useful out of this film.
