This was a great beginners intro on how to manipulate steel, lots of neat trips and tricks to make the jobs go easier.
Good dvd, a little methodic, but great detail. Maybe if there could be just a hint of personality to the production it would be a great dvd.
Great instructional dvd. Scott is very talented and shows some great ground work for drawing a lot of different vehicles from different eras. His style is still on the futuristic side, and if your looking to have more of a sketched base technique like "foose" this really isn't the disc.
This DVD is great for what is was meant to be. Unfortunately unless your repairing a post WWII charter plane panel with exotic (non weldable) aluminum alloys, this DVD to some degree is useless. There are some great tips for machine setup and tuning. Also some good wheeling theory. But ultimately it is very slow, long, and drawn out. You spend most of the time watching them wheel the entire panel which could have been edited down a great deal and achieved the same effect.
A good Ron Covell DVD overall, good intro to tubing styles, how to cut, obviously methods for bending. This ultimately is the boring High School Math class version of what could a great DVD, if only it had some flare and real word applications in the instructions. It not generally useful to watch people bend random pieces of pipe and tube, with no actual application. Would still recommend it.
