Great video for the beginner. I purchased my mini lathe about a year ago, and just got around to start using it. I ordered this video, and I'm now well on my way to creating the parts I need.
This is an excellent video if you're new or a beginner. Covers all of the basics very clearly.
I was not as happy with this video. Don't get me wrong, if you're a beginner its a good starting point, but I think most of us are going to be starting out using aluminum, and he does not go into much detail about the proper sharpening for an aluminum bit.
His bits are ground for brass turning, but brass is an extremely expensive metal to be practicing with. Aluminum is far cheaper and a better starting metal for beginners.
He does mention in passing about how to cut the bit for softer metals, but I feel he should have been a bit more detailed than he was.
All in all, a good video.
