Excellent video for the beginning woodturner. Covers basic handling of the chisels, which ones are used for roughing, curves, etc. Also, how to shape several basic lathe projects such as candlesticks and bowls. Really a good teacher.
Amazing what you can do with just a skew chisel. A great lesson and well worth the rental.
This was great. Probably the most comprehensive beginning lathe lesson I've seen to date. He has fantastic control of the chisels and shows in detail the logic behind each move.
