A good overview for the novice (which I am). It's an older video, but it's not like this is a fast changing field, so that didn't really pose a problem. With this information and some reading on the net, I was able to make up a smart shopping list for tools and materials to get started, rather than taking one vendor's word on what I needed. Only negative would be the amount of time devoted at the end of the program to reviewing a number of then-current progressive presses, time that would have been better spent on other topics, maybe introducing some of the tradeoffs in designing loads.
A mixed bag. My wife and I wanted to get some idea of what we'd be getting into if we took intro sailing lessons, and we accomplished that. As an instructional video, this has some problems. It seems to be a nearly linear shoot of the high points of an intro sailing course, not really thought through with the video medium in mind. Maybe par for the course when it was shot, but certainly not current state-of-the-art. This may be a little bit harsh since there's going to be limits on any sort of electronic medium that's trying to substitute for experiencing water and wind. Amateur chessecake efforts are also good for a few laughs.
