I enjoyed the DVD and fortunately was familiar with most of the techniques. Ron does a great job explaining the concepts but TIG welding requires alot of hands-on time. Anyone interested in TIG welding would benefit from this DVD. The razor blade and foil tricks were impressive.
There was some extremely impressive techniques and skills demonstrated in this DVD. I did feel that the part about not cold quenching steel should have been re-shot. Its obvious Ron has years of practice at forming steel by hand and I've not yet tried to do much of it. Something tells me I'm up for a lesson in patience. Overall a very enjoyable DVD from a true expert in the field.
This video is impressive, as are Mr. Covell's skills at conquering metal. I appreciated the way he demonstrated different techniques to smooth metal, roll corners, weld, hammer, etc. I recommend this to anyone who is curious how tools like English Wheels and air hammers are designed to work in the hands of a master.
This is a good video in that Ron shows multiple methods\tools to accomplish the same task. It wasn't my favorite video I've seen from Ron but it does contain some useful information.
I have this DVD rented currently and am impressed with it. As a new Glock 27 owner I was curious about all the topics discussed in the video and have learned more than I expected. Mr. Magill is very passionate about the small Glocks and how to best handle them in a variety of situations. I have not fired the new gun yet and feel better prepared to do so after viewing this DVD.
I have been around firearms my entire life but don't consider myself an expert by any means. The one key element I've emphasized and followed is safety. I feel that this DVD is a great introduction to the different types of handguns on the market and how they operate. All through the video the Magills stress safety on the firearms themselves as well as how to safely handle yourself in the event of a home intrusion. This would make and excellent primer video to someone new to handguns. I really appreciated the segment on how to check and unload 17 different examples of pistols.
This was a great video for someone to understand what goes into barrel swaps, headspace adjustment, or various other custom tricks that are part of a custom rifle build. The video covers the machining part of barrel swaps but does it in a way that anyone can understand. I really enjoyed this one!
