Very informative and VERY detailed. Not a "quick watch"; it's got really good stuff.

When you're new to something-particularly something technical-you feel like all thumbs. You don't know what to get, how much to spend, where to get it, and you're uncertain if what you have is appropriate for the job. This DVD I found to be an extremely well done product. The opening where the gentleman speaks before the video comes into play made my heart immediately sink-it looked cheap and "homemade", but...after the first frame of the video started, all I could do was sit with my mouth open with amazement at what these guys do-their work is truly breathtaking.

I wish that they had gone more into the technical aspects of equipment they used, more about pricing, vendors, what to and what not to get and the reasons why. They did touch on some of these, don't get me wrong, but because nothing in video is cheap (except for the mini-dvd tape), you want to have more information on what the pros use and why they chose it and what to look out for, so as to not purchase something that you don't need, nor something that is cheap and made to stay that way.

I don't think you'll be disappointed at all with this DVD; it has a lot to offer the beginning videographer or one who is new, as I am, to high-end equipment. Enjoy!

This was an OUTSTANDING DVD!! The videographers were awesome in what they did. I am hoping to incorporate their skills into my videos. I had not heard of Bridal Elegance video (Hmmm...sounds like a nitch to fill, huh?)until watching this DVD. These guys know what they're doing and aren't afraid to share it with you. I just wish they had gone more into the specifics with camera lens, general pricing for the equipment they used (reflectors, lights, etc.), but overall, you should not be disappointed by renting this DVD.

Hi. I just finished watching this DVD and...wow! This guy is GOOD!! You know, if you're relatively new to professional videography, you can use all the help you can get from pros who use this stuff daily and can give you the information you have been trying to get, but just don't know what to ask or where to find it.

He showed body movements/exercises to help your body become "one" with your camcorder and, MOST importantly to me...he gave you SPECIFIC information and pricing of the equipment he used to create the images you see.

He showed and told of the manufacturers who made what he uses and showed, very important, comparisons between lenses NUMEROUS times-so much better than many who just tell you that they used "a" fisheye lens and then move on to their next point without giving you a chance to see they "Have It!" This DVD repeats itself over and over again, using different angles and lenses and you actually see (BEFORE buying something that you may not need) what a certain lens will do for your camcorder if used correctly.

Yes, as another reviewer did mention, it is pretty short for an instructional dvd, but in spite of that, it's worth the rental fee.

Check it out-be prepared to take notes!!

Well, I just will say this...I expected so much more and was very dissapointed. SmartFlix is such a great company to offer videos that you cannot find at any local video rental company; they just do not specialize in "specialty" videos-what a Godsend!!

Now, back to this crummy video. I have subscribed to VideoMaker magazine I would've thought that they would be THE source for a dynamic training video-NOT! They just barely touched on videographic equipment and practices. It was as it they were showing a few people who excelled in their field (lighting, video movement, sounds, etc.), but nothing-nothing that was deep enough to show you something that you would never forget. And, it was very, very short-I guess it was best that way, huh? Why watch a movie with potential when you feel ripped-off and longer than you have too?!

It was a waste of money and if you were to offer me $50,000 to give you a really good summary of each "section" or the whole DVD, I would be broke-I just don't recall anything standing-out enough to stay in memory.

Sorry VideoMaker crew, but you should know better. If you REALLY want to learn about videography, rent the "Harnessing the Potential of Your Video Camera" DVD. Now THAT is an awesome video training/resource DVD-everything you've always wondered about camera shooting and more than you ever knew was possible to learn.

Oh my goodness!!! I am SOOOOOOO glad the makers of this DVD had taken the viewer, admittedly from "Assuming you know NOTHING about video production/lighting, etc." to a level of comfort; building upon the previous chapter. They do an excellent job of showing examples of what they are talking about and then they go back and review before going to the next chapter. The two gents in the DVD are extremely knowledgeable about this craft of motion videography and break it down for even the most "green" beginner and they don't make you feel inferior.

If you are new to or just want to learn something new, please, please rent this DVD. Give yourself time, because it's very long-but, with all that you learn by watching, it's all very much worth the time to view it. Thank you SOOOO much, SmartFlix for offering these types of specialty video.
