I've been curious about displacement mapping after reading a little about it, but the concept just didn't gel in my head. This video showed how it's done very clearly and now I'm ready to try it. I also learned a few new keystroke commands that will be extremely helpful. I would recommend this video as a great intro to the process.

This video really opened my eyes to the possibilities available using layer masks. Some of the lessons seemed a bit repetitive, but it did help to understand their use. I would recommend this video to anyone interested in advanced Photoshop layer techniques.

I think this video is not for the faint-hearted, nor the Photoshop newbie. I'm no photography expert, but I've worked in Photoshop for a number of years, so the concept of RGB is not new, but his explanations of what RGB really is, and how the eye works were new to me. I found it extremely helpful to take extra time to listen to the commentary at the beginning of this video. I had to rewind it numerous times to catch on to some of the things he was saying, but once I did, I felt like I understood better what he was doing when he finally got into the demonstration section. What he presents is a way at looking at digital images that I hadn't considered before, which is using Photoshop as a digital darkroom tool for photo artistry, rather than just for fixing photos. I would recommend this video to anyone interested in learning some interesting new concepts in image manipulation in Photoshop.
