Brilliant DVD, clear, descriptive, and profoundly helpful for learning hardcore perspective. #1 requires multiple viewings to fully absorb because there is such a high density of information. Others are quite good, and build off of #1.
This DVD is methodical and deliberate in the best way. Step-by-step he walks us through shading and rendering, calling attention to key points that will make your rendering better and more compelling. I strongly suggest that you get some paper and drawing tools and work alongside Scott, to prevent yourself from nodding off.

You should rent this trio only after his 4 perspective disks, if not, you're getting ahead of yourself... unless your line drawings are already stellar.
Mark's disk is a good disk for sketching interior spaces. I found it was missing some of Feng's useful tips in "Shot Design" and wishing for some tips on choosing and generating compelling perspectives for interiors. I'm not asking for a perspective DVD, since Scott Robertson's is pure perfection, just some "interiors" oriented perspective tips. On DVDs like this, I prefer more didactic "teaching" than anecdotal "commentary."
Harald's Props DVD is quite good. Its focus is on rendering and NOT ideation. If you want help with the generative process this isn't the DVD for you. If you want practical tips that you can apply immediately to your digital paint process, this is a good one. Some excellent tips on chrome and brushed stainless and buttons.
One of the rare sources for workflow and setup. Painting demos are fine and good, but here Ryan describes exactly how a master configures his setup. This is key, since it's like the Pit Boss explaining how a car is tuned before the race. Having an efficient workflow is a critical step toward being a professional. Thumbs up!
This is one of Gnomon's finest DVDs. David is intelligent, emotive, and intensely interested in dinosaurs. His anatomy references, his movement recommendations, and his refined artistic skills are helpful for both illustrators and animators.
Note this is NOT for someone who wants to draw little ellipses and then put teeth on them. This is for someone who wants to construct realistic, believable creatures.
This DVD is superlative, and only McCaig's storytelling DVDs seem show as much passion for the subject as David has for dinosaurs.
