Thank goodness for SmartFlix I almost bought this set for $100.00 and it was not very good. If you don't understand how to paint, you are in a lot of trouble when renting this DVD: It tells you very little. It really does not cover how to mix your paints or what to do when you have a problem with your paint - it just shows you the steps to apply paint, like sanding, then spray your primer, and then your paint and clear. Very vague, very poor. Part two is all about pulling the tank on your Harley to fix some bad wires, Camera man shakes the camera a lot and seems to have a problem keeping on his subject. BAD BAD BAD.
It has a few little tricks but I would say it is not for the newbie airbrusher. Like many of these filx on airbrushing, most are just to show off there work and get a plug in to take thier class.
Not much of a learning tool - more of a show to plug his stuff. Very basic on the clear coating. If you are looking for detail, you should not waste your time with this one. If I have to hear "The Great", "The Famous" So-and-so one more time, I think I will take up playing with clay.
Not bad for the person who has some hands on experience. For the beginner they may have some trouble following what is going on.
Bad is an understatement about this DVD. It may have some pointers but you would be better off looking at one of the known DVD’s for beginners then wasting your time on this one. More of a plug to make net sales then anything else. Half the time, the painter is in the way and you can’t see how something’s are done and he is not that good.
