Great first step to learn the craft. If you can't get it right after following this, find something else to do.
I like this guy. No BS, just gets it done with the least amount of fuss. Done in a vid studio with minimal gadgets. Only thing is, I would like to have seen it after clearcoat and buffout.
Good info for airbrush techniques. This guy is an illustrator and not a car or bike guy. I knew a good deal of the stuff already and so it moved a little slow for me. While you can take some of these techniques to the body shop, most of it is for other applications.
The informatopm was good but the guy repeats himself just to take up the quiet. He takes it from bare metal to buff out and does a fairly good job explaining what he does. Of all the "how to" DVDs I have seen over the years, this is one of the better paint jobs for learning the process from start to finish. Could have used better camera work though.
If I could only say 1 thing about this DVD, it would be: Don't waste your money. Poor camera work, looks like he recorded himself with the help of a tripod in his falling down garage. While he gets the job done, his painting technique appears "self discovered" and results are not noteworthy. I have seen better from a tagger with a spray can. Probably just a nice guy trying to make a buck, definitely not a pro.
