Not that great. There are a couple good tidbits of info on equipment for a TIG newbie like myself but WAY too repetitive on the equipment/set-up. Very scarce footage of actual welding and what minimal footage of actual welding there was was poor quality. Sketchy focus. Not very instructional. I would not recommend this DVD.
O.K. for an amateur video. He does demonstrate milling on a drill press and touches on how he converts a cheap bench-top drill press to a pretty functional mill. He could have gone into much more detail on the actual conversion process. There is mention , but no concise description or footage, of filling the post with concrete, epoxying the head to the column after precise alignment, boring the spindle to accept a depth guage, etc. The DVD did not provide a detailed step by step of the conversion process like I expected. Just barely enough info for a resourceful tinkerer to accomplish this conversion.
Aside from content the video quality is not great. Kind of fuzzy.
This is MUCH better than the other TIG dvd available here by Donovan.
Ron presents the info in a very organized and concise manner.
If you're looking for a very basic intro to TIG this is pretty good, although I found it maybe TOO basic, and I've only been playing with TIG for less than a month. I'd have liked to see more actual welding footage.
A little bit darker filter on the camera lens would have helped.
