Along the same format as Ron's hot and cold patinas for copper based alloys, this film illustrates in an interesting manner the application of basic "indoor only" patinas for iron, steel and aluminum. Starting with some basic foundation conversion coatings he then demonstrates the application of acids, salts and other mixtures to produce some very beautiful and useful patinas. He does not go into the "browning" process nor does he talk about the rust and shoepolish patinas for interior steel furnishings but over all a very good film. Ron looks quite young in this film. Maybe its time for a second edition?
