This set is a must see for anyone wanting to learn how to be creative and most importantly having fun while doing it. The author is a breath of fresh air in his presentations and examples. Do yourself a favor and rent the set and i promise you wont be disappointed. I have learned so much from those DVD's and it is a shame that i wasted so much time, effort and money on other instruction that marketed techniques but delivered crap. Hat's off to Gnomon as always with great titles with substance. 5 stars all the way!!!!!!!!
I rented this title with high expectations as always when it comes to gnomon titles. It was informative on certain techniques but i walked away from this DVD after a couple of views still not being satisfied. It still left a void in my learning but it did give me a great start in the direction im trying to move to with maya. Informative but i would best describe this as a good steak without the baked potato and veggies.
Alex really delivers on this DVD set. Do yourself a favor and rent both discs. Most of you know it is nearly impossible to get a creative gig in the effects and animation industries.The information is worth thousands of dollars and his insight and experience is worth a million in my opinion. You will gain so much knowledge with these discs and will point you in the right direction.
