Nov 2008 While the video is excellent, and there is little doubt in my mind that I could anodize a small part following this process using the equipment demonstrated in the video, the video is very dated in regard to that equipment. After searching the Internet I was unable to locate a small spot welder such as the one used in the video, and it appears to be a key component of the process. I did find some rather klutzy plans, but the least expensive small spot welder I could find was close to $2,000. This is also true of the constant-current power supply that is another key component. While the video does say that a car battery charger can be used, they do not recommend it. The bottom line is that, at least for me, it appears impractical to invest the time and money that would be required to anodize on a small scale as shown here.
