Donna Kato shows some good, basic caning techniques for beginners. The video is professional and runs at a good pace (not too fast, not too slow). Donna's explanations are easy to understand.
Good information and demonstration from an excellent leather-crafter.
I watched this DVD at least 5 times before sending it back. It's packed with lots of hands-on demonstrations and good information and tips. Following Peggy's instructions, I was able to order the materials and marble about 15 papers successfully. The marbling process itself is simple, but getting all the specialized materials and chemicals, and making your paints "float" isn't all that easy. It takes experimentation, but I was glad to have this excellent DVD as a starting point. Highly recommended if you're willing to invest in the art of marbling.
A good presentation, but I didn't really learn much. I found Suze's "Melt Art Impressions" book to be a better value. After investing in all the essential Melt Art products (the cost can add up), I still have a hard time envisioning exactly how I might use UTEE in my creations. Suze gives a few ideas, but they all seemed like cheap, messy-looking plastic blobs and nothing seemed particularly compelling or exciting. I guess I was looking for the "WOW factor" and didn't get it.
