Dry but very helpful. I learned several new things I didn't know from reading, other videos and working on my 97. Every CAS shooter should view it at least once. Saved money because I learned that an intended barrel switch is best done by a gunsmith.
Great series for those starting reloading and those who want to improve their reloads. DK has an easy style and a very organized, scientific approach. This is an excellent step by step series for Dillon loaders - I have a Lee, (and now 1050 blue envy) but still I found it extremely informative and easy to watch, even if it was very detailed but every now and then a pearl of wisdom just falls out.
Much of this is a reiteration of 'Reloading for CAS Pistols', which allows it to stand alone, but makes it less useful if you intend to watch all of them. Still good.
This is a great DVD very informative - Evil Roy teaches many of the techniques that could take years to learn - Get your pencil and paper ready, this is filled with tips.
This is very instructive and like having a piano teacher - with both the good and the bad.
OK starter DVD and a lot like the ones that come with keyboards. If you want more instruction, go with the piano version
While not quite as extensive as the pistols version, I still learned a lot and highly recommend it.
Covers most 97 and SXS loading techniques and a few drills. Definitely will help make you faster
This was disappointing, little instruction, repetition mostly. Better titled see a guy who knows play Irish Fiddle. Camera work leaves much to be desired. When instructing one should use camera angles and close ups that facilitate learning, such as with fingerings, but they do not. and often it is not possible to discern fingering. Also poor choice of background. Very frustrating for my son the fiddler
I watched the whole series, liked it and learned a lot. As said by others it was a good deal of lecture, but the instructor is direct and easy to understand. You may not agree with everything he says and many will but he usually gave a reason and made me think about new issues - well worth the time and money.
This series is strongly AR-15 oriented, while I do not own one (yet) this series was still informative. I did not learn as much from this series as I did in Fighting Pistol and you should also view that series as James refers back to it on several occasions. Also be very sure to view extras as there is a lot of good information on them (AK info, etc). Disc 2 is largely a gear guide with emphasis on equipment needed to attend a fighting rifle type training. The speaker, James, while clearly quite knowledgeable, often goes off on tangential tirades. While these may be well deserved and clearly sincere, they add little but are distracting.
I currently load pistol ammo but want to move on to rifles and also shooting longer ranges so this was a good overview of the process and provided many useful details. Although I will probably start out with less high end equipment. I will certainly shoot factory ammo with more respect when it performs well.
