I liked this movie a lot, you can tell the guy on the video is really into his profession. Many, many good tips and demonstrations. I would consider this one essential if you like cars.

I rented this video mostly because I'd just seen 'Fast & Furious: Tokyo Drift' and it does give quite a lot of insight. You also realize quite quickly that practicing this on your own will cost a lot of rubber. As usual it looks easy when a pro does it, overall a good video.

I rented the whole kit and this review is based on that, since I had them for a week I can't remember which scenes were on which disc. I probably would recommend renting them as a kit though, you sort of get focused and some discs are better than others. The guy is obviously very skilled but the discs are from the 80's so some of the way they set up scenes and portraits look a bit dated. He is very skilled in setting up lights, many times with only one head, and here lies the biggest benefit of the series. You really start to understand what's going on and how a professionally shot picture is gradually built up. These discs could easily been condensed into let's say 2, highly recommended though, very few alternatives.

Absolutely amazing, among the best I've seen in terms of cars, not to mention engines.

Well, don't really know what to say. I'm a big car enthusiast so I can't say I didn't enjoy it and there were good tips inserted now and then. But boy are these guys long-winded, you end up drifting away during their well-meant advice. I was also disappointed that they didn't work on one car as a project, instead of showing example steps from many different cars and parts. They've obviously renovated a lot of cars and they showed some nice examples, but honestly, I wasn't that impressed with their personal workmanship. Some interesting scenes like for instance a renovation of a radiator and all in all worth a look, ideally as a background movie for some Sunday project in the house.

Avoid these, the valuable advice is far between. The presenter mostly goes around and points at obvious issues such as 'here is a loose stone on the step, that's not good' or 'there is weed here and we can't have that'. Very little here that actually is useful unless you've never seen a house before. Amateur feeling to it.
