The anouncer should have done ALL the narration. The craftsman may have known his stuff but is not a good speaker. The professional narrator, however, is. Also, I've looked all over the web and I can't find the tool handle type that was used in the video.
I did like the video, though. It gives a good intro to checkering and the techniques necessary to start in this hobby.
This was the first how-to video I've seen about checkering. It was very informative and it has piqued my desire to try some checkering. The video, however, is of questionable quality and, though the artist knows what he's doing, he is not a very good speaker. I found the parts of the dialogue that were easiest to understand were the part where the narrator spoke. The film would have been even better had the narrator did all the dialogue. Also, I've looked on the Internet and I couldn't the type of tool handles that were used in the video, so I don't know if they were made by the artist or if they are available commercially.
