I found this video to be very thorough in the steps for bowl turning from cutting the log to applying a finish. Excellent Video. I will buy myself the video sometime in the near future to have in my library to watch again.
He also injected humor which I enjoyed.
This was one of the worst videos I have ever rented. It was like Stuart had way too much coffee and it actually gave me a headache.
The video should be labeled as a taping of a live ad-hoc seminar. The camera angles were frequently positioned at an obscure angle where the bevel of the tool or the tool in general was obscured from view.
It was interesting, but not very informative or professional.
While a lot of info was presented the video was very distracting. There were too many special effects on the video. While some plugs in were discussed and some techniques were discussed, the videos assumed that you were very experienced in recording and spent a lot of time on stupid history of the evolution of analog to digital....
